Established in 2003 by Erica Scott, Pitter Patter Pet Care is a pet sitting service dedicated to providing quality pet care while clients are away from home. In addition to dogs and cats, Pitter Patter Pet Care can provide pet care for our more exotic friends, such as ferrets, birds, chinchillas, reptiles, and farm animals.

Since I was a young child, I have always harbored a desire to work with animals. After several years in the corporate marketing world, my passions for pets lead me elsewhere. Following my summer employment at the Louisville Zoo, I realized that I wanted to work full time in the pet care industry.

It was after my husband and I adopted our first dog, a Chihuahua, that I realized the need for a responsible, reliable, pet-loving person to enter our home and care for our dog while we worked or traveled. Why a pet sitter and not a kennel for our dog? Simply, I thought our dog would be less anxious remaining in the familiar setting of our home than being boarded in a kennel during our absence. But the lack of such a person in our area gave me an idea: I would become that person, and Pitter Patter Pet Care was founded.
